Welcome

Would you like to experience being welcomed into a community of the Religious Society of Friends, aka. the Quakers?

We would be so happy to have you join us as we gather together in worship.
We are a community that welcomes everyone as we gather to begin worship in silence, seeking to be attentive to receiving messages of Divine Truth from the Christ Within each of us, also known to us as The Light, Spirit, and the Inward Teacher.

A Few Experiences from Our Community:

What is it like to be part of a community?

  • "Being part of our Beloved Community has allowed me to nurture relationships with myself, others and a power greater than myself."
  • "We are welcome in a community that accepts the uniqueness and beauty in each individual."
  • "From the very first Meeting, we were welcomed into the Community. That welcome has grown with every handshake and warm conversation each weekly Meeting. We both feel like we have found a spiritual home where we can grow in a religious community aligned with our values."

What does community mean to some Schuylkill Friends?

  • "A spiritual home where many of us have raised our families and feel a deep connection to each other and also hold this foundation as a welcome to those who are new."
  • "A place of open-hearted welcome for all seekers."
  • "Spending time with Friends outside of Meeting and learning about our predecessors; as well as connecting with other Quaker Communities."
  • "Humbly part of a 500-year-old spiritual tradition that works for Peace and Justice through leadings from the Holy Spirit. Quakers, or Friends, are members of the Religious Society of Friends of Truth."

We would like to welcome each other on First Days (Sundays) at 10 am. Please come and enrich our community.
